A beautifully styled coastal home on Ireland’s east coast — sunsets over rolling hills, a fire pit for long evenings, and a sandy beach just five minutes’ drive away. Designed with soul and comfort in mind, Fir Lodge is as magical for grandchildren as it is relaxing for grandparents.

The space
Our split-level home is designed for both comfort and privacy. The living room leads down a short flight of stairs to the open-plan kitchen and dining area. Upstairs, bedrooms are accessed by separate staircases on either side of the living room, giving everyone a bit of space.

Please note: the layout may not suit all young children. We can provide a stair gate between the living room and kitchen if requested in advance. However, Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 4 have stairs where gates can’t be fitted, and there are two open steps at the bottom of the kitchen stairs.

If you’re unsure or have any questions, just ask — your comfort and safety matter to us.

Guest access
There is a studio adjacent to the house which the host family may occasionally need to access with prior notice. The garden will be maintained also.

Other things to note
Electric gates to the front of the property ensure security & privacy.

Some wardrobes & cabinets will be locked but there will be storage in every room for your belongings.

There are smart bulbs in a lot of the lighting which will automatically & gently come on & off at night. You can easily over ride these settings if you wish.

There is a trampoline in the garden which is at ground level for safety.
Children should be supervised at all times while using it.

Bedrooms 2, 3, & 4 each have a work area.

Bed 1 is a superking sized bed. There is no room for a travel cot in this room)

Beautiful Irish countryside on the East coast. Less than one hour to Dublin airport.
Close to the sea & the mountains. Great for walking, beach days or just lazing on the terrace. Very quiet and peacful.
