It is a wildlife oasis where you can regularly see kingfishers, woodpeckers and hear ferny hoolets from your balcony. When you are not chilling in the hot tub, you can enjoy the tranquillity of the indoor space, which has a wonderful, relaxing feel-good atmosphere. We are just 30 minutes to the Lake District and 2 miles to M6,which offers great access to explore the N.W. We allow 2 well-behaved small/medium dogs.

🌟Self contained rural character cottage🌟

A peaceful two bedroom cottage on the edge of the Trough of Bowland and Lune Valley with links to the Yorkshire Dales ( Hawes - 30mins) and Lake District (Windermere - 45 mins), and the popular town of Kirkby Lonsdale only a 20 minute drive away! Excellent walks and cycle routes in the area, a wealth of wildlife around, curious sheep that come to the fence and views looking over to Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland Fells. There are lots of fantastic eateries nearby. 20 mins from M6 Junction 34.

Stay in a Castle

Guest flat in Hornby Castle, which is located in the picturesque Lune Valley, in the forest of Bowland and not far from the Lake District, sitting on a hill with dramatic views overlooking the Lune valley and Ingleborough. Relax, enjoy the local walks, including along the river in our garden. Hornby has a good village tea room & pub. Also a good village shop. Our TV is small and only runs off online apps. Remember it is an old house and can therefore be or feel cold.

Well appointed 3 bedroom barn conversion

The cottage is in the small village of Gressingham in the beautiful Lune valley and Forest of Bowland AONB. There is easy access to both the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales national parks. In addition the attractions of Kirkby Lonsdale, the historical city of Lancaster and RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss are only 15-20 minutes away. Gressingham is a small, picturesque village and makes the perfect location for walkers, cyclists and those wanting a country break.
