Nook ( Carsluith holiday lodges) is a beautiful off- grid spacious lodge with a wood fired hot tub and stunning views across the Cree estuary. It is completely off grid so no tv or sockets only usb charging points in the bedroom. The lodge is pet friendly (max 2 medium dogs) for free sits in its own grassed fenced area on our 12 acre smallholding . We are situated close to the Galloway forest which is the famous for its starry dark skies and also has great mountain biking and walking close by.

Our large garden backs on to the mature woodlands of Kirroughtree Forest, famous for its recreational offering including bike shop and cafe, walking trails, and home to one of the 'seven stanes' mountain biking sites. The Old Toll House Petite and perfectly formed

Petite but perfectly formed The Old Toll house is a perfect base to explore Dumfries and Galloway. The Old Toll house was built in 1813 the same time as the bridge was built. It was the original Toll house used to collect the payment for people crossing between Newton Stewart and Minnigaff. The old wooden bridge and ford was replaced in 1813 John Rennie (The Elder) won the honour of the commission. Thomas Telford his competitor also submitted plans. Thank you for your booking.

The Granary is situated on our small working farm with stunning views over Wigtown Bay. Sleeps 2/4 with twin or double bedroom downstairs, single/double bed can be provided in lounge. Small child friendly, travel cot, high chair etc available. Short drive to beaches, Galloway Forest, hills and coast. Five minutes from Wigtown, handy for the Book Festival. Great for bikers, cyclists, walkers, bird watching or relaxing. One well behaved dog welcome, please advise us before arrival.

Oak Tree Hut

Unfortunately no dogs/children/infants are allowed. Oak Tree Hut is situated on our working sheep farm in Dumfries and Galloway. The views from the hut looks over St John’s Town of Dalry and up onto the Rhinns of Kells. Lie in bed watching the sunrise and sit on the verandah or soak in the outside bath while watching the sunset. Watch the bird life and livestock peacefully fly and amble by. The hut has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
