The house where the farmer used to live with his family has been converted into a comfortable apartment with a spacious living room and open kitchen downstairs, overlooking the meadows and the terpkerk of Wanswert. The apartment is in personal style and fully furnished. Where possible, we used second chance furniture. Together with the piano and comfortable wood stove, a nice living climate is created. The apartment has a cozy private garden all around, a private front door and lots of privacy.

This cozy apartment is right on Makkum Beach. From the sunny balcony you have a view of the lake and the cozy boulevard. Downtown Makkum is a 5-minute drive/30-minute walk away. You have access to a large terrace, three bedrooms, sauna with plunge pool, foot baths, two showers and two sinks, separate toilet, kitchen and living room and private sports and play area (of 80 m2). The apartment is 10-15 minutes from Dokkum, the Wadden Sea, departure points to Ameland and Schiermonnikoog and the Lauwersmeer National Park.

The Boothuis is located directly on open water and is newly 2022 modernly furnished for a pleasant stay and equipped with all facilities. Here you can walk and cycle along the water or through the woods. Museum or shopping, this is already 3 km away. The natural environment offers many recreational opportunities, including renting a dinghy. Fancy a drink on the terrace? Then you can visit one of the restaurants/terraces at the water where many boats pass. At a stone's throw you can go to the local super for fresh rolls.

In the middle of the authentic village of Schiermonnikoog, you go back in time. You have your own terrace and entrance on the fronts of our house. We enter through the back entrance.
