Skipperhuset

🏡 Skipperhuset is the oldest house on our family farm Birkenes located in Farsund municipality. The Skipper House was built in the 19th century and has been rehabilitated several times, most recently in the spring of 2021. In collaboration with a local painting company, we are working to make the house as authentic as possible, including wallpapering the living room, kitchen and hallway with skipper house wallpaper and linseed oil paint to preserve wood, etc. The Skipperhuset has a natural place on the farm and is located wall to wall with the brewery house which has a renovated baker's oven.

Walking distance to great beaches (Bausje/Bispen), playgrounds and restaurant/pub. 2 km to a local store and food stands in the harbor at Borhaug. 3 km to Lista Lighthouse. If you bring a fishing rod or a surfboard, there are great opportunities nearby.

On the ground floor, you'll find a hallway, laundry room, bathroom, TV lounge with a sofa bed, and 3 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each room. On the first floor, there is a large kitchen and living room with a dining area and TV area, as well as a master bedroom with a double bed and a large bathroom. Large terrace with several seating areas, jacuzzi, fire pit and great views. Perfect for families or friends who want a comfortable stay close to the sea and nature.

Recharge your batteries at this unique and quiet accommodation. Morning coffee can be enjoyed both inside and outside with the same feeling of proximity to nature. Large windows overlooking the Spindsfjord and high ceilings bring nature close. A shared jetty with its own berth can be found about 2 minutes walk down to the sea. There you can swim from the jetty. If you rent a boat, you can go straight out into a varied archipelago with good fishing opportunities. Beaches are about 15 min away towards Lista. 10 min by boat/car to the city center.

Large terrace/jetty with outdoor furniture, gas grill and wood-fired hot tub! (IMPORTANT! The hot tub does NOT have bubbles or massage, just lovely hot water). Inside there is a bedroom with a double bed, bathroom with toilet and shower, well-equipped kitchen and living room with TV. Attic/mezzanine with 2 single beds, 1.80 ceiling height. Free rental of paddleboard and small kayak.

The cabin is spacious at 150 m², with four bedrooms and sleeping space for up to 11 guests—perfect for two families traveling together. In addition, take a step back and relax in our luxurious sauna with panoramic fjord and mountain views. We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do!

Cozy apartment with panoramic views of the Selvaag Park. 100 meters walking distance to Brooklyn Square where you can enjoy a good meal at Larsen Bakery or at Holy Cow. 1 bedroom. The sofa bed in the living room can be converted to a double bed A total of 4 sleeping places. Bed linen/towels are not provided but can be rented for 150 NOK per guest. Then the bed will be made before your arrival, and one large and one small towel are included.

Amazing views of fjords and mountains

A good place to just relax completely and enjoy the view of the beautiful fjord. Large windows facing the view make the feeling of sitting outside when you enjoy a good cup of coffee in the good chair. A short walk (200m) down to the harbor with a private boat berth and its own boathouse for storing equipment and freezing fish.

Housing - Apartment in Sørlandet

Stay centrally in Farsund City. Husly is beautifully located 30 m from the lake. The house is from 1829, it was moved here from Spind in Farsund around 1870. The house has a lot of history and has been a retirement home, school, guesthouse and kindergarten.
