Among friends, family, and neighbors, I'm known for my apple pie. People ask me to make it for their parties. During the holidays, people buy my pies for their pot lucks and to give as gifts. I have taught my pie-making techniques to neighbors, friends, and even a few Airbnb guests (I am a host).. I'd love to share my pie expertise with you. I have been baking and enjoying desserts since I was old enough to read a recipe. Having waited tables in over 20 restaurants, I've learned the secrets to delectable pastry, bread, etc. from some of Chicago's best pastry chefs. A Seattle resident for 20 years, I know where to find my city's best pie. (Recently, my neighbor and I spent a year conducting what we called our "dessert research," basically eating desserts in different places throughout Seattle, and rating them for future reference.)

Where you'll be

This experience will take place at my house, which some of my Airbnb guests (I'm a host) have described as a trip to early 1900's-Seattle, a study in creative re-use, and an inspiration for those decorating their homes on a budget. We will make the pie in my kitchen. If weather permits, we'll enjoy some pie and coffee (or tea) in my garden; otherwise, we'll enjoy it in the living room.
