What you'll do

Guests can join us and help to light and fuel the oven. While the oven warms they enjoy tea, coffee and cold drinks scones. There is time for a walk around the garden before starting to prepare the pizzas. Alternatively guests can arrive later when the oven is already hot. The dough for the pizza base has been prepared the evening before. Guests roll the dough and prepare their pizzas using a selection of toppings that have been prepared. Guests are shown how to bake their pizza. Each pizza is in the oven for only 90 seconds. As guests relax after their meal there is the opportunity to explore the garden or to hear about the 200-year history of the house and to see some of the cooking utensils that were used when the house was first built. As the sun goes down guests can walk down to the shore of Lough Neagh and watch the sun set across the far horizon.

Edwin

I am a vegetarian cook and an organic gardener with a great interest in the environment and a passion for good food. I live with my wife in a 200 year old house surrounded by an organic garden and green fields close to the shore of Lough Neagh in a beautiful countryside location. We enjoy sharing food with visitors and we believe it is one of the best ways to build relationships.
