What you'll do
After meeting at our studio, we'll take a short drive to a nearby village where we'll help you set up with chairs and easels at the chosen location. I'll do a short demonstration to give you some guide lines as to how to draw the scene and then we'll start with the colour. I'll be giving plenty of personal guidance when requested and within a couple of hours, you'll have completed a watercolour masterpiece to take away with you. At around 12.30, we'll start to finish up and either visit a typical local restaurant or have a simple picnic under the trees.
I'm a professional artist and tutor and I have lived in the south of France with my wife Monica for 10 years. We run painting holidays, classes and workshops in the area. I'm passionate about drawing and painting, in particular watercolour techniques - perfect for working with on your travels. Monica, who takes care of the picnics, is passionate about food and local cuisine.
After a morning's painting, we'll slowly pack up and either move to a traditional local restaurant or relax under the trees…
Watercolour Paper, Paints, Brushes, Palettes, Boards, Easels, chairs and tables. All the equipment you'll need to paint…
Where you'll be
We'll be painting a typically French scene in this area. Either an old village square or an ancient watermill, or the view across the vines to the foothills of the Montagnes Noire - all perfect painting locations.
