What you'll do

Central Edinburgh is a gem well worth exploring before the crowds wake up. We will meet at the Scott Monument (the second largest monument dedicated to a writer in the world!) and warm up by jogging back in time through the famous streets of Edinburgh's 250 year old "New Town". As we weave through Scotland's pub ridden Rose, we'll catch glimpses of the famously imposing castle above us. From there I will take you through the Princess Street gardens and around the castle to the old part of town, exploring Edinburgh's stair ridden alleys across different layers of the city. Along way you will learn through fun stories and anecdotes about the history of the city, the origins of Harry Potter and the changes Edinburgh faces in the 21st century. We'll explore Grassmarket, head up the picturesque Bow street and down the Royal Mile to see the Queen's Palace and the astonishing Hollyrood park. I will introduce you to some of the best cafes and pubs along the way, and give you the insider's scoop on where to go after our adventure is over. I love running and I get a buzz from meeting people - let me show you Edinburgh's early morning charm.

Andrej

By day, I am an office dwelling engineering geek. In the mornings - I just can't seem to stop running! Every time I visit cities around the world (from San Diego to Vancouver, Lima to Sydney, Madrid or London) I always go for a run. A simple one-hour run lets me see so much of what a city has to offer, without the hassle of traffic and large crowds. I have competed in running events ranging from one mile to 70 miles, so I should be able to keep up with you. Come join me for an early morning stroll in Edinburgh—we'll definitely have a blast.
