What we’ll do

Join me for a gentle walk along the river, stopping along the way to take the opportunity to learn and practice a range of mindful techniques. We will begin with a short explanation of what mindfulness is (and what it isn't!), followed by a breathing exercise to help us leave the day's activities and stresses behind. You don't need to have had any experience of mindfulness to enjoy taking part. I will adapt to the pace and needs of the group, so all you need is to come with an open mind and be prepared for a gentle walk. Hopefully you will leave feeling relaxed and calm with new ideas to try in your daily life!

Where you'll be

We will conduct our workshop while walking along the River Wey in Guildford. In the seventeenth century, this river was made navigable and canal boats and kayaks are a common sight along the river in addition to the variety of plant, bird and animal life. This is a chance to explore Guildford away from the busy town centre.
