What you'll do

I will meet with my hiking group at Kate Kearney's Cottage, in The Gap of Dunloe, Killarney at 10:30. After I have made sure they have the right hiking footwear and clothing for our walk, I will discuss our day with them and show them our route clearly on the map.

We will start our walk together at a leisurely pace and I will make sure that everybody is comfortable and happy.

We will stop at regular intervals for people to enjoy the scenery and have some food and drinks.

During the walk I like to talk with my group about flora, fauna related to the area, and sites of interest such as standing stones, stone circles or ancient dwelling places.

The walking route will be to Tomies Wood and the lower slopes of Tomies and Shehy mountains in Killarney National Park.

Every one of my guided walks has its' own particular places of outstanding beauty. I always aim to make my walks a very special and memorable experience for my clients.

Cesar was awesome, the weather wasn’t the best so he adjusted the hiking trail to accommodate us. He took us to Black Valley that we for sure would have never found on are own. Best hike ever

Great walk. Because it had rained, Cesar suggested a different trail. Otherwise, we would have had to navigate long stretches of tall, wet grass. But he let me make the decision. The alternate (Black Valley) was still spectacular. Cesar was also that I enjoyed myself, but did not push myself too much.

This was my first trip to Ireland and at home I like to hike. It was very nice to find this experience on Airbnb. I think it will appeal to outdoor lovers. Cesar was very helpful in answering all my questions before the hike and during it as well. He was very conscious of my abilities and never made me feel rushed. He seemed genuinely concerned that I had a great experience. It was easy to tell that leading a hike for him was not like work, but pleasure. Cesar even took several photos of me which I really appreciate as I will have a lasting memory of the hike. This hike was good value for the cost.
