What you'll do
In this one-on-one Silicon Valley experience, sit with Matt Oguz, a real-life venture capitalist and TechCrunch columnist who invested in companies such as Lyft, Ripple, Circle and many other companies valued at over $1B. From deal sourcing to structuring investments all the way through value-add, Matt will walk you through the essentials of investing in startups. Modeling the various risk attributes, you'll have the opportunity to learn about what matters the most when evaluating deals and positioning your bets to increase your chances of finding the next unicorn.
Matt is a venture capitalist who invested in leading unicorn ($1B+) tech companies such as Lyft, Ripple, Circle and Thoughtspot. He's founding partner at Venture Science - a leading quantitative venture capital firms in Silicon Valley. A frequent speaker at industry events, Matt's also a contributing columnist for TechCrunch and has been featured in Forbes, The New York Times, and many other press outlets.

Where you'll be
We'll gather in a beautiful meeting room at the Venture Science headquarters near downtown SF. This is where we analyze the data and sharpen our investment strategy. We’re a block and a half from the Embarcadero’s waterfront promenade and only a few blocks from the heart of the Financial District.
