What you'll do

The best way to get to know a city is with your feet on the ground, exploring every cobblestone, up and down stairs, and across all the bridges! Our expert guides will show you the pathways that only runners dare to conquer, traveling along the canal walk and flood wall, crossing over the James River and showing you the local's perspective of Richmond, VA learning tidbits of modern history along the way. Your guide will also point out some interesting spots you can check out later.

Where you'll be

We'll run the Canal Walk traveling past Haxall Point to Brown's Island. From there we will cross the Tyler Potterfield Bridge, which spans the James River and provides great photo ops, and a view of other sights you may want a closer look at on your own, such as the Virginia War Memorial. From there, we will follow the Flood Wall, which ends on the Manchester side of the River. We cross the Mayo Bridge to Shockoe Bottom and the Capital Trail.
