What you'll do
I'll help you see the world through your lens as a street photographer! We'll meet at The Photographers’ Gallery, a creative space for photography. During informal, introductory drinks, we'll view some inspiring images on my iPad while I offer useful, creative wisdom and techniques for getting the best street photographs. This includes best camera setting tips, confidence to photograph strangers without asking, how to compose your photos, and suggestions on visually eye-catching subject, things to observe when walking around a city to make interesting photos. After briefing, I'll guide you on a photo walk around my favourite locations with some fun, visual observation games and help you take less 'touristy' photos. We will observe small details & quirks of the city, people watch, as we capture London's most interesting characters, turn the ordinary into extraordinary, anticipating moments or street stories that come our way. For the remaining time, we can find nearby cafe and review our photos. I am happy to critique. Note: If you don't see a suitable calendar date, I am flexible to add new dates if I am available. Where you'll be
We'll start in characteristic Soho, leading into the colourful Chinatown area, through to Leicester Square/Covent Garden. Guiding you away from the busy touristy areas. I'll show you some quieter, side streets and alleys of central London with the potential for interesting compositions and street photos of local life in the centre of London.
