About your host

Having studied art therapy my philosophy on teaching pottery is that it should be fun and easy. You can expect humour and laughter at one of my sessions. You can also expect a simple step by step approach to learning pottery skills.

What we’ll do

A great project for first time potters you'll make a handmade platter which you can use to serve food at your next dinner party. Using a simple technique of preparing clay balls and coils you smush them together to make your own masterpiece platter from scratch! For groups of two or more weekday dates can be requested.

What else you should know

Aprons are supplied but please wear comfortable and casual clothing that you won’t mind possibly getting clay on.

Clay, Glazes, Firing All the clay needed to make your pieces as well as a choice of glazes to colour them. Kiln firing of pieces is also included.
