Tired of people complaining about refugees hanging round Görlitzer Park, Annika, the founder of Bantabaa, decided to try to make a change. Together with a great team, including volunteers and Angelika, the Bantabaa Community Project Manager, Annika works to support refugees with basic needs - and jobs.

About Bantabaa
Bantabaa supports refugees, offering legal advice, help with education, housing and jobs. Most African refugees in Germany are not allowed to work and don’t receive social support. Unable to earn money legally, some resort to selling soft drugs in the Görlitzer Park. Our organisation seeks to make a difference by supporting refugees to enter the legal job market and integrate into the community
This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to Bantabaa. .
What we’ll do
We’ll meet at our cafe near the infamous Görlitzer Park and share a coffee, discussing our project and its social impact, before taking a walking tour of the area. Once in the park, we’ll give you a grounding in the area’s history, and you’ll learn more about the refugees who have sought sanctuary in Germany. Where you'll be
Our cafe is close to Görlitzer Park in the heart of Kreuzberg, an area well-known for its restaurants, nightlife and street art. The park brings in every kind of visitor imaginable, drawn by its green spaces, impromptu summer techno parties, barbecues, petting zoo and anything-goes attitude
