What you'll do
I will be leading the walk around Žižkov, Prague's most authentic and charismatic district, full of vibrant locations and community organisations. The experience will include: - an insider's view into the work of Pragulic and the daily practices of the homeless; - visits to local sites you presumably would not see otherwise; - education about homelessness; - hearing some touching life stories from Pragulic insiders; - possibly meeting some of my homeless colleagues along the way.
Dear travellers, we are the Pragulic team and we would like to give you a slightly unconventional insight into this lovely city of Prague. About Vojta: Throughout this tour I would like to share my enthuhsiasm for some of the most unconventional yet authentic parts of Prague. My interests combine psychology, culture, travelling and third wave coffee. About Tereza: the co-founder of Pragulic, a team which organizes city tours guided by some of Prague's homeless population.
About the organisation
Pragulic is a social enterprise that enables people to experience their surroundings through the perspective of the homeless. These walking tours work to change stereotypes associated with homelessness. It was launched in 2012 by a group of schoolmates and became a rockstar in the field, winning multiple awards for its social, business and innovative approach.
This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to Pragulic.
Snacks We will get some vegetarian/vegan snacks or food which comes from responsible sources maybe even from dumpster diving.
Drinks We will grab a socially responsible alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks on the way.
