What you'll do
We start our exploration of Marin's magical redwood forest in the charming center of historic Mill Valley before heading on quiet backroads and footpaths to groves of ancient redwood trees. Following a spring-fed creek to natural pools and cascading falls, we visit ancient, cathedral-like redwood groves, where the trees soar hundreds of feet into the sky, provide an unequaled nature experience at base of mighty Mt. Tamalpais. Along the way, you learn about the coastal redwoods' amazing ecology and their clever adaptations for survival over many millions of years. It is a remarkable escape into nature on the slopes of beautiful Mt. Tam.
Note: If the walk is fully booked or if you can meet us in downtown Mill Valley, please contact me via Airbnb message or e-mail at sanfranciscocoastwalk@gmail.com and we might be able to accommodate you. This refreshing, tranquil walk is also ideal for private groups and corporate team building outings!
Check out our other nature walking tours too! Golden Gate Bridge, Coast & Beach (airbnb.com/experiences/60533), Lands End: SF's Wild Coast (airbnb.com/experiences/61724), and Scenic Sausalito & the Marin Headlands (airbnb.com/experiences/61731).

Ben
I grew up just over the hill from Muir Woods in Mill Valley. Mt. Tam and the redwood forests were my playground for myself and my childhood pals. I turned this passion into a business when I founded a nature walking company, Coastal Walkers, with co-leader Greg Garcia. My creekside routes are uncrowded and peaceful, a wonderful way to experience northern California nature and the primeval forests of the ancient redwoods.
Note: If the walk is fully booked and you can meet us in Mill Valley by car or by using Golden Gate Transit Bus #4, please contact me and we might be able to accommodate you.
