What you'll do
We will go to between two and four local spots - depending on how many beers we want to try at each place. The places are small and super local, and the taps are constantly changing. You will experience how Japanese beer people consume and enjoy their beer, and learn some easy 'beer Japanese' and drinking culture. I will also share with you as much as I know about stories behind Japanese beers and bars, and we can chat with the owners too. I will have my bike (though of course we cannot ride if we are drinking) so if you have one too that would be awesome, as there is a little bit of walking between spots. Nothing you won't be able to handle! While we're here, I can share with you all my knowledge about local natural wine, food, and things to do or see. This area is underrated! If you are interested, I can prepare (for a small extra fee) a guide for you of food, wine, and beer in advance. Please note that in Japan there is always a possibility that some of the chosen spots are closed - but I will make all efforts to assure we try at least three beers! If not, I will make up for it I promise.
Hi! As you're here, you're probably interested in beer. Me too. I haven't brewed it (yet), nor studied it; but I drink a lot and read a lot, and converse a lot. I have been in Tokyo for almost three years and have made serious efforts to track down the best beers and spots to drink them. I keep my own list of all the beers I drink and if I liked them or not, so I continue to learn and develop my own tastes. Please get in touch if your desired dates aren't available, and we might be able to arrange something.

Where you'll be
The places we will go are not on Google Maps in English very readily, unless you know what you are looking for. These places are great locals in a super quaint area. I love Setagaya because it really feels like "Japan". It is fairly residential but there are so many little shops, bars, restaurants and just people that have been doing their thing for years. I used to live and work in the area so I know it well.
Things to keep in mind
For a full refund, cancel at least 7 days before the experience is scheduled to start or within 24 hours of purchase.
Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside the Airbnb website or app.
Up to 3 guests ages 18 and up can attend. The drinking age in Japan is 20 so unfortunately I cannot accept anyone younger than this.
This experience includes alcohol. Only guests who meet the legal drinking age will be served alcoholic beverages.
If you want, we can always hop to some further away places for craft beer too. There is too much to share with you in Tokyo! Let me know your preferences beforehand.
