What you'll do
Since the Olympics in 1992 Montjuic is synonym for sports. Let’s keep the spirit alive! Feel how we locals enjoy this green park to work out and cycle with us (Rodrigo and/or Heleen) to the castle on the top along hidden gardens, exciting off-road tracks, forgotten monuments and, of course, its highlights (Montjuic is much more than the Olympics and castle!). We are not ‘tourist guides’, but we know the mountain inside-out. We’re happy to tell you about the different sites and amuse you with interesting anecdotes (you know that until recently it used to be like a Brazilian chabola or that there was a dare-devil F1 track?). Meet also our Uruguayan friend for a tapa at his rural resto located in a quite surreal site. And we’ll take you to the best spots to capture the bustling city beneath!
Heleen & Rodrigo
Montjuic is like our backyard; our favorite escape from the busy city, to work out, breathe fresh air, adventure with the kids, picnic with a book and more. For years we are passionate cyclists (best way to discover Catalunya!). We both have this curiosity to-know-what-we-see. So we gathered quite stories about the city, which we are happy to share while puffing up Montjuic!

Where you'll be
We pass by the sites of the World Exposition, Olympics,..., but - most exciting - we take you off the beaten track to discover a horse club in an old quarry, a beautiful cemetery, many parks etc. The climb to the top is rewarded by a 360° view. We end in Poble Sec, perfect place for a tapa & drink.

Up to 4 guests ages 18 and up can attend. It is at least a 5 km climb to the top. Ramps are not too hard (4 to 5%; or very short if steeper), though you need to have some experience with sportive cycling, for example change gears smoothly. And be…
Montjuic is our common 'project', an experience we completely share, but it might just be Rodrigo OR Heleen who will take you on this adventure.
