What you'll do
Sketch Party: We will start with warm-up sketches to learn more about our drawing tools and the techniques involved in producing effective travel sketches. Although Singaporeans have been crowned as the world’s fastest movers with a walking speed of 10.55 seconds/60 feet, we will escape the fast lane, slow our pace down, and sketch. Through sketching, we will unveil surroundings that will otherwise be easy to miss. Our session will end with a short sharing session around Maxwell Food Market.
Erwin and Francis are both local artists/educators whose works have been featured in various media outlets. They travel extensively with their sketchbooks and are always sketching on the go. They are founding members of the Commute Sketchers group, and you can spot their commute sketches in some of Singapore’s subway and bus stations. In 2017, Francis published a book titled Pulau Ubin.
