About your host

I'm an Electrical Engineer who fell in love with wine, which then lead to becoming a Certified Sommelier and a wine bar owner since March 2016. Food, wine and hospitality is where my desires and strengths align. I have been pursuing food & wine as the medium to bring out my fullest potential, for the past 9 years. What we’ll do

First, there will be an introduction to cooking 2-3 Indian street foods (aka 'chaats'). I will be showing you in detail, how to make some of our signature Chaats, along with a primer to the various spice blends, sauces and other ingredients that goes in to making the most flavorful dishes from the streets of India. You will also receive offerings of the Chaats that you have learned about to enjoy…

What else you should know

We have a unique concept of pairing wines with Indian street food. Our food is not your typical curries & naan, which is prevalent in every Indian restaurant. We offer a great opportunity to learn about authentic street foods from India and also our host/sommelier's spiel on pairing wines with them.

What I’ll provide

Snacks and Appetizers
The host will show how to make 2-3 Indian street dishes after which you will be offered these dishes to enjoy!
Wine
Wine pairings will be offered as tasting portions (if you are 21 years of age or older) with each street food that was taught about and offered as samples.

What to bring

Must be 21 years or older if you would like to learn about and taste the wine pairings
Bring a form of ID that can verify your age

Where you'll be

This experience will be hosted in Indian Paradox - an intimate, cozy wine bar in SF's bustling Divisadero corridor - you will be surrounded by vibrant colors, an Indian truck carrying wine and aromas of Indian street spices and flavors.
