What you'll do
You can come up to our base in the Galtee Moutains (one hour drive from Cork City) and we will ride the bikes around the Galtee Castle Woods and then up into the mountains and then Hike into the Galtee Mountains, the highest inland mountain range in Ireland. The bikes are Rad Rhino fat tyre electric bikes with plenty of torque to help you up the hills and enjoy the downhills.
I will share my knowledge of the local area while we cruise the trails and hike in the mountain. We will picnic with a hot drink and healthy food in the mountains with beautiful views.
We also have accommodation available in a wooden yurt or a converted horse truck. Both can sleep up to 4 people each.

I am a passionate cyclist, having toured through 50 odd counties. I ran overland truck tours in Australia and Africa ranging from 2 - 11 weeks. We now run a glamping site up in the Galtee Mountains accommodating up to 8 people. The new technology of electric off road bikes really excites me. The ease and fun of cruising through beautiful Irish forest and mountain trails is my new hobby. The hiking in the Galtee Mts, in my opinion, rivals the Kerry mountains without the crowds. I

Where you'll be
We will explore the Galtee Mountain region on forest trails, single tracks and hike into the Mountains to get great views of the surrounding Irish countryside. We'll visit the site of the old Galtee Castle, its bridge and the old surrounding wall.

Guests should have a level of fitness required to hike for one or two hours.
