About your host
I am a Cuban curator and art historian who prefers art on the street to art in museums. While completing a Ph.D. in Cuban contemporary art in Canada, I fell in love with the uniqueness of the Cuban graffiti scene.
What we’ll do
We'll walk the streets of Old Havana together. Along the way, I'll point out examples of the city's distinctive street art. We’ll stop at my favorite cafe for a mojito while we discuss the graffiti created by both Cuban and international artists, and its relevance to Cuban contemporary culture. Then we’ll visit local graffiti artists' studios before saying goodbye.
