I grew up in Hawai'i so beach culture, surfing, and the ocean are what I live and breathe. I've taught surfing for the past 20 years and delight in sharing my passion and knowledge of the ocean. What we’ll do

We'll get charged up for our surf session with some light stretching and a quick lesson on surfing equipment and safety. I'll teach you some surfing basics before heading out to the water to catch some waves where most everyone stands on their first experience! Just make sure to be on the lookout for dolphins as it's not uncommon to see a Flipper or two!

What else you should know

Bring a towel, water bottle, your bathing suit and some sunscreen. The wetsuit will be worn over your bathing suit. Note that lessons will accommodate all levels of ability.

Where you'll be

We will meet in Manhattan Beach, the quintessential California beach that's dearly loved by Angelenos and tourists alike. We'll be venturing to a part of the beach that's less traveled for our private surf lesson.

For a full refund, cancel at least 7 days before the experience is scheduled to start or within 24 hours of purchase.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 4 guests ages 12 and up can attend. Guests must have basic swimming skills.
