What you'll do
Noted in tourist guides as "the worst SF neighborhood," the TL is a thriving community. We'll go deep into the community with the Tenderloin's "unofficial mayor," Del Seymour. Del is Dori's friend - a legendary gifted storyteller. Then we'll head to GLIDE, the Tenderloin's community center of 50 years, to help prep, serve and enjoy GLIDE's famous fried chicken lunch to SF's vulnerable citizens.
About the organisation
GLIDE has worked to create a radically inclusive, just and loving community mobilized to alleviate suffering and break the cycles of poverty and marginalization. Located in the culturally rich Tenderloin neighborhood, GLIDE serves a diverse cross-section of homeless, low-income and disenfranchised populations. Visit us at www.glide.org.
This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to GLIDE.
Walking tour, volunteering opportunity and an optional meal with the GLIDE team.

Where you'll be
We will join Del Seymour for a Walking Tour of the Tenderloin including the old Hibernia Bank, Gubbio Project, St. Anthony's, Tenderloin Museum, Cadillac Hotel, and many other destinations. Then volunteer at GLIDE, San Francisco's iconic church in their Daily Free Meals Program serving lunch.
