What you'll do
Our experience will be like a gastronomic journey in the fascinating world of pasta made with Sicilian "ancient grains"! I bet you don't know what the ancient grains are! These are worked with a natural stone, and left dry for hours and hours. In particular, our pasta is made out of two particular ancient grains: Perciasacchi e Tumminia. Firstly, we will go to the market and select the ingredients for our pasta. Then, we will start our experience understanding the main characteristics of the bran that makes these grains so special. At this point, ready to cook! We will prepare three variety of fresh pasta: tagliatelle, gnocchi and ravioli and we will cook the seasoning for pasta. That is not all! We will also have a typical sicilian dessert. We will have fun :)

Paola and Elisa are two women and two friends with the passion of food. Paola is an agricultural entrepreneur and her company is focused on cereal cultivations. In 2017, she decided to start using the "grano antico" (ancient grain) to produce a different kind of pasta. This pasta is of pure quality, healthy and traditional of this region. She also has a farm and she is a real expert of Sicilian food :) Elisa is a woman passionate about cooking, food and raw materials. This interest comes from his work experience and from the need to cook only the best for his 8 year old daughter. For this reason they take much care of the ingredients that they use. They loves cooking and love sharing it with others!

Where you'll be
We will go to the local market to select the ingredients (Mercato del Capo). Afterwards, we will go to our kitchen where we will start our experience!
