What we’ll do

Ask any local resident and she will tell you about how awful the Queen Elisabeth 11 Park site was before the 2012 Olympics came to Stratford. Explore the history of the Park, the cutting edge technology used during the 2012 Olympics. Then visit the Orbit viewing platform and experience the famous slide or abseiling down the Orbit followed by sampling Teas from around Britain and beyond. OR…

What else you should know

Wear comfortable shoes and clothing, bring an umbrella,- just in case of rain. It's best to purchase an Oyster Travel Card for Zone 1-3 travel for the day. There maybe issues around access to the sites on the Olympic Park.

Where you'll be

We will be in the Queen Elisabeth 11 Olympic Park - home of t he 2012 Olympic Games. Learn about the Aquatic Centre design, the man behind the ArcelorMittal Orbit, the sleekness of the Velodrome and the arrival of West Ham Football Club plus the famous Aquatic Centre and not to miss a tranquil River Lee Cruise. Of course Drinking Tea is a must.

Communication policy
