Where you'll be

We will see the best views of Ireland's Eye Island, Howth Harbour Lighthouse, and Kings Footprints along the West Pier—followed by a walk through the higher parts of the village to see the ruins of St. Mary's Abbey and the Martello tower, which was the site of the first Howth Castle in the 12th Century. Then we'll visit one of the oldest pubs in Howth for the traditional Irish Music Session.

Fantastic tour in a fantastic location with a local guide who’s wealth of knowledge on the history and cultural significance of the Castle and surrounding grounds was next to none. Highly recommend this trip as it is a great one for history lovers, nature lovers and those that love a good walk! Our tour guide, Daniel, was extremely friendly and was able to answer all our questions with enthusiasm. 100% would go again!

This was a brilliant tour! Daniel has a great storytelling ability & the history of the Castle, it’s estate and surrounding area was fascinating to hear! He made sure to tailor the tour to questions we asked & brought us through a maze of Rhododendron up towards a beautiful view of Howth, Ireland’s Eye, Lambay Island and beyond. Despite the changeable weather conditions would highly recommend!
