What you'll do

Join us on a leisurely, 1.1 km walk along the seawall of Stanley Park. This cultural, historical interpretive walk starts at the Stanley Park Information Booth highlighting the Indigenous history and stories of Vancouver and Stanley Park. Along the way you will enjoy the unique Indigenous stories, oral history and perspectives of our shared city and world renowned Stanley Park. This place has been the home to our peoples and tribes for thousands of years and we would like to share this amazing history with you. This tour will have several stops along the way; your guide-ambassador will share how the Salish Sea has provided for our people for countless generations. The tour will conclude at the Stanley Park totem poles where we will highlight the history and stories of the carved totems, tell who caved them and what they mean to our people. 75 minutes will go fast and you will go away with a deeper awareness and an enriched understanding of the Indigenous people of this region with respect to our way of life, our unqiue indigenous worldview and our peoples' relationship to the land and our ancestors.
