What you'll do

We'll explore the intersection of nature and modern life, learning about creative approaches to engagement with the natural world amidst a city landscape. In this interactive experience, you'll be exposed to the history of the west coast and learn about plants from a First Nations perspective, focused on their wisdom and their edible and medicinal qualities. We'll learn plant identification, harvest times, what specific plants offer, and how to incorporate this knowledge into a modern lifestyle.

Lori

I am a Métis herbalist and educator who shares the wisdom and traditions of my indigenous Tsuu T’ina roots. Assinboine, Cree, Ojibwe, and Nipissing Nations blend with my Scottish, French, and Celtic ancestry. I love honoring plants and seeing the expressions on people’s faces when they realize that foods and medicines are growing all around them.
