What you'll do

How beautiful Saint-Petersburg in the dawn rays of the sun! In the early morning, before the river trams start moving, the canals are quiet and fresh. However, to enjoy this magic, you need to get up early. We meet at 6 am on the embankment of Lebyazhya canal. Our guide will give a comprehensive briefing on safety, paddling techniques, and traffic rules on rivers and canals in the city. Then our route runs along the Moika river, the Griboyedov canal, the Winter groove and goes straight to the Neva river! Just a few meters away, we will see the Mikhailovsky castle, Church of Savior on Blood, The field of Mars, the Hermitage, and enjoy a magnificent panorama of the spit of Vasilievsky island, the Peter and Paul fortress, and the widest part of Neva water area. The route is ideal for those who have never sat in a kayak, and is also a business card of our city, because it affects the most important sights and allows you to see them from an unusual angle. You will be accompanied by our guides, who monitor safety, help you learn the basics of paddling, are in constant communication by radio with the captains of river trams and boats, and if possible take photos. The route has the character of an active tour and doesn't imply a detailed tour story, but our local guides will be happy to share with you interesting facts that you will not find in classic travel guides.

Learn more about Valeria

Valeria

I was born in St. Petersburg and have been kayaking for more than 10 years . At school and as a student, it was just a hobby: marathons, competitions, and traveling. Over time, the hobby turned into a matter of life. We have a school of tourism instructors, work in St. Petersburg tourist clubs, kayaking expeditions in Russia, the United States, and Europe. In 2016, my husband and I organized a family business and started kayaking in our hometown of St. Petersburg to show it from a new, unusual side! We spent our whole lives surrounded by palaces, but we were surprised to see it from the height of a kayak. This is a completely different city! We were happy to share our idea on the Life 78 TV channel, in the online edition of Izvestia, RBC, and others. Me and my great team invite you to see the city from the other side!
