Sarah

I specialise in providing bespoke hand carved items ranging from lettering and relief decoration to producing architectural details and gilded frames. After graduating in 2008 from Portsmouth University in Restoration & Decorative studies I started my own woodcarving business in 2009 carving both traditional and modern designs. In 2013 I became an INTBAU Young Practitioner and in 2014 I took part in the Prince’s Foundation Building Craft Apprenticeship programme studying with several master carvers around the country. Since graduating I have continued to run my own business, now based in Midhurst, West Sussex. I provide private 1-2-1 tuition in my workshop as well teaching larger groups at both the Weald and Downland Musuem and for London Craft Week in association with The Prince's Foundation.
