What you'll do

We will gather in McGovern Centennial Garden, one of the most peaceful places in Houston. Participants will be introduced to the concept of Bubble Meditation. We will explore how blowing bubbles can transform our mental and emotional spaces. We will walk together to the Japanese Garden and then explore how blowing bubbles can also help release physical tension. It wouldn’t be a Quiet Rebel event if we didn’t also incorporate an opportunity for guests to get to know themselves a bit better, as well as, something about the other participants. Guests are welcome to bring a sack lunch to enjoy together in the park. The experience lasts 45 minutes.

Where you'll be

McGovern Centennial Gardens and the Japanese Gardens are easily two of the most beautiful places in Houston. They are centrally located and part of the larger Hermann Park complex which is also home to The Houston Zoo. I spend many mornings walking the trails of the park and find it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of a major city.

More tips

Houston has year-round weather conducive to this activity. We will not gather in extreme cold or a rain storm. The entire walk is approximately 2 miles. The event can be amended to accommodate limited mobility if I know in advance.
