What we’ll do

Together we'll hike along Dublin's beautiful South Coast. This 6 KM route will include stops at Dun Laoghaire Pier, the historic Forty Foot baths at Sandycove, the historic heritage village of Dalkey and finally the Peak of Killiney Hill where you'll enjoy panoramic views of Dublin City. What else you should know

The walk includes some hills - all surfaced paths - so wear comfortable shoes (hiking boots are not required but can be worn). While the hike is taken at a slow pace, I would not recommend this experience for individuals with physical ailments that might prohibit them from completing the route.

Where you'll be

We will start at Dun Laoghaire Train Station. From there we will stop at the following areas of interest: The Famous Forty Foot Bathing Spot, The James Joyce Tower, Bullock Harbour and Castle, Dalkey Village, Coliemore Harbour, Dalkey Island, Dillon’s Park, Sorrento Terrace, Vico Road (Home to the Rich and Famous), Manderley Castle, Killiney Hill Park, and the Obelisk. We will finish at Killiney Train Station.
