What you'll do

This activity is held in "HOUSEHOLD" in Himi,Toyama. Here is the seaside inn devoted to the pleasure of cooking. This activity starts with buying fishes at local fish store and learning how to choose fresh fishes. After we buy fishes, you'll cook sashimi from pre-treatment to slicing on your own. Of course, I'll carefully teach and demonstrate all procedure of cooking sashimi. After you finish cooking it, let's have dinner together with rice and miso soup!

Hi, I'm Mitz! I live in Himi, Toyama., where we can easily get SUPER-fresh fishes, thanks to the location near the famous fish port. I worked at fish shop for three and half years, so I can teach you how to choose fresh fish and to cook fish. I want you to feel Japanese fish culture in Himi by watching, cooking and eating fresh fishes with me!

Where you'll be

Meeting at HOUSEHOLD, and then going to local fish shop. After we buy fishes, we go back to HOUSEHOLD, and cook and eat sashimi at the kitchen of HOUSEHOLD.

Communication policy

Guest requirements

Up to 6 guests aged 16 and up can attend.

Government ID

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.

More tips

Everything that is used in this activity (fish, tools, apron, etc.)is prepared by us. Max price of a fish per person is 1000yen. If you want to use fishes over 1000yen, you should pay extra.
