What you'll do

We will meet at Fusilier's Arch, North West corner of St Stephens Green opposite the shopping arcade and the world famous Grafton Street. After greetings, we will discuss our chosen theme for the day, Street Art: which will help us focus for the next 2 hours. We will run in the footsteps of Irish history and I’ll lead you to the art pieces often around the corner from the famous Cathedrals or the Castle. We will head from Grafton Street and discuss painting techniques and I’ll give you tips & tricks to help you get great photos, while all the time passing iconic landmarks, we will weave our way through the Streets of Dublin, finishing back at Grafton Street for a well earned coffee & a chat to discuss what we have discovered in the capital.

Nick

I am the owner of irundublincity.com a running tour guide of Dublin with a passion for running. I am a runner of 14 marathons (and counting) internationally. I am a runner that loves sharing his experience whether that be in the running shop I work in, using specialist software to provide gait analysis for runners, or the social group I run with on a Friday. I can usually be found on a Saturday at Parkrun where I have run over 150 times and performed volunteer roles from course set up to first timers briefing. I have fallen back in love with trainers at the running shop, a passion I have had since car washing for my parents as a child to earn pocket money to buy trainers. Today my expert trainer reviews can found be found online at www.runrepeat.com

Where you'll be

We’ll most likely go to Portobello, the Liberties and Smithfield areas of Dublin, all superb area for street art the moment. The scene is constantly changing so I research the route on my weekly long training runs. Smithfield was the mecca of street art until recently when some of the buildings were sadly pulled down for development. However, we could do a slightly different version of this run, depending on the weather & ability of the group.
