About your host

I teach traditional Moroccan women's dance. I was born in Fez, and have loved dancing since I was small. I enjoy sharing what I know and meeting people from other countries. I have taught many classes since 2010, for local women and international travellers; through travel agencies and privately. I have also performed at events.

What we’ll do

I will welcome you into my home, and over the course of an hour show you how to do a selection of different Moroccan dance styles: such as how we dance at weddings; dances from the desert, dances of the Berber people and entrancing Gnaoua dance. What else you should know

This is an activity for young to older people. Children of 5 and up and welcome. You don't need to be very fit to enjoy it - you can do as much or as little as you wish. It doesn't matter if you've never danced before, you can still participate.

What I’ll provide

Tea
Moroccan mint tea and cookies will be available after our class.
Creative supplies
Capes, caftans, scarves, bells and other props.

What to bring

Drinking water, a small towel and comfortable clothing.

Where you'll be

The classes are held in my lounge room, in Fez's Ville Nouvelle. We will start by stretching the body, then learning the steps and responding to the rhythms. I can arrange transportation as an optional extra. Price depends on your location.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside of the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 8 guests ages 5 and up can attend.

Government ID

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.
