About your host

I live in the south of West-Flanders (Belgium). For years I've been doing lots of walks in the mountains and nature. I am a travel guide for a travel organisation in my free time. Guiding people during walks is something I am used to do, and what I like to do. I am also a musician. So I always have something to talk about!

What we’ll do

We will do a walk in the north of France in a area that is not commonly known in Belgium. Although the bike race "Paris-Roubaix" passes there every year. The difficulty of the walk can be determined before we start and adapted during the walk. There are some steep artificial hills we can climb. There are lots of forest paths but there aren't any signs for the visitors.

What I’ll provide

A little surprise as snack
Extra water
Outdoor gear
1 set walking sticks

What to bring

Walking shoes or sport shoes
rain cloak and rain pants (in case of rainy weather)
Pick nick (if we walk during the lunch time)

Where you'll be

We will climb some artificial hills (leftovers from the mines). They have a steep and a less steep side so we can choose wich side we are going to climb. We will walk in the forests on big and small paths.
