About your host

10-year Tokyo resident and practitioner of esoteric Buddhism. I'm a freelance reporter and have done numerous stories on Japan's spiritual traditions, including Shinto shrines/festivals, ascetic/shugendo waterfall training and rites at Buddhist temples. I speak/read Japanese fluently and so have learned and experienced spiritual traditions firsthand.
