What you'll do

Let's face it, we all know making our own coffee is going to be cheaper than splurging on your regular cafe. In this class, I'll introduce you to coffee basics. Then we'll get to smell and taste different specialty coffees from roasters in South East Asia. Finally, you'll make your own cup! Even if you don't make your own coffee afterward, you'll definitely be able to make better friends with your regular barista. Here's a breakdown of the class. Basics of coffee 1. What goes into a cup of coffee? 2. Main types of beans and where they are grown. Aromas and tastes of different coffees 1. Introduction to beans from around the region. 2. Identifying aromas. 3. Tasting the difference in the coffee flavor wheel. Making your own coffee 1. Different types of brewing methods. 2. Demo on doing a pour over, espresso, cappuccino or a latte. 3. Making your own cup.
