Aloha, my name is Kevin, I was born and raised on Maui and am the founder of HeleWai Eco Tours. I invite you to come with me on a journey you will never forget. You will visit and learn about the Pu'u Kukui Watershed Preserve which is the largest private nature preserve in the state of Hawaii. Access to the preserve is through private gated roads and I am the only commercial operator that has the keys! I offer a truly one of a kind experience that you will find no where else on the island! Whether its the beautiful views, unforgettable stories, rare native forest or opportunities to give back, I can guarantee everyone will leave satisfied! See you in the forest!

HeleWai Eco Tours has a mission to protect our most valuable resource...Wai (water)! The most effective tool to generate water is healthy native forest in our watershed. We will take you through an experience that will educate, and inspire you to help too. This is the most unique hiking experience available on Maui. We go into areas not accessible to the public and our knowledgeable guides wil

Where you'll be

We will begin at the Napili baseyard then drive 15min to the Mauka (mountain) area of Honolua Bay. These lands are privately owned and access is strictly limited to people with permission.

Cancellation policy

Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 10 guests ages 6 and up can attend. We will be hiking on Moderate, uneven terrain. It could be very hot, or very cold depending on the weather and where we go. Be prepared to potentially get muddy and wet. You should be in good physical shape…

More tips

We will provide good filtered water but not a bottle. You will need to wear good Hiking shoes and long pants that may get dirty. It can get wet and rainy so a light rain jacket is recommended
