What you'll do

It's a gift to be able to share our love for Sourdough baking as well as providing a sneak peek of what our life on the water is all about. During our time together we will prepare a favorite recipe of ours, Sourdough herb crackers. These are a quick, easy recipe which not only are the hit at every party, they also use the discard part of your sourdough!
Itinerary:
- Welcome and boat tour
- Recipe introduction, revision of ingredients
- Mix it up! Each participant will make their own ball of cracker dough to take home and bake at their convenience.
- Bake: we will bake off some tasty crackers to share as we enjoy the nature and beauty of being on the water.
- Share: Take home your own sourdough starter and a ball of cracker dough to bake at home with friends and family!

Book with a group of friends (max 5 people per class) or individually - it's a great way of meeting new people with like-minded interests!

Hello all!
Sonya here, I am a young entrepreneur and avid sailor living aboard a 42' sailboat with my partner, Jack. We both have a passion for life on the water as well as hosting and cooking for friends and loved ones. I have been obsessed with baking ever since I was a child and cannot wait to share my passion with you, all while experiencing what its like to live (and bake delicious things) on a sailboat! Our life afloat does not stop us from cooking, fermenting and baking to our hearts content - we have been nurturing our sourdough starter for almost 5 years now, sharing our starter and yummy treats with friends and family to spread the sourdough joy.

Where you'll be

We invite you to come aboard our 42' sailboat. Unfortunately, we will not be integrating actual sailing into this experience - guests will learn sourdough recipes onboard a sailboat which will be moored in the marina, the boat will not leave the dock. Learn about sourdough baking and how we've adapted to our tiny-living lifestyle. We love answering questions about life afloat, giving you a glimpse into the unique qualities of boat life.

We had a blast with Sonya and Jack. It was great learning the tricks to easily make sourdough crackers, but even more special was personally connecting with them—they truly made us feel at home. We would recommend this Experience for anyone who wants to start baking sourdough, is interested in what it’s like to live on a boat, or wants to have a super fun evening with a down-to-earth pair of folks.
