Learn how to make an authentic MASA dough to make Tortillas, Gorditas, Quesadillas as well as a classic chili salsa and a variety of delicious fillings. This workshop is held in the most vibrant and exotic chef's market in Mexico City, the famous San Juan Mercardo! This market is prehispanic and has been in existence for over 500 years! *As seen on TV* Our Certified Mexican chef will guide the workshop, you will get hands-on experience in making the tortillas yourself. You will learn what it means to make a good and authentic tortilla, Gordita and Quesadilla, handmade and pressed. Where you'll be
The workshop/kitchen is in the center of San Juan Mercardo. This is the most famous market in Mexico City, where the top chefs buy their fresh and exotic produce. You will see an array of prehispanic and gourmet stalls serving insects such as scorpions, ant eggs, Chapulines (crickets) and exotic meats such as Lion, Tiger Crocodile, plus wines, cheeses, cured and fresh meat, plus much more! This market is a must to see during your stay!
