What you'll do
The Tagus estuary is one of the most important humid zones in Europe. Throughout the year 194 bird species occur in the Tagus estuary. It is the migratory aquatic bird that gives the Tagus estuary the status of most important wetland in Portugal and one of the most important in western Europe. Among the many bird species here we can see the flamingos. This experience allows us to observe and photograph these birds and other species.

Where you'll be
At the rhythm of the tides on our tour we visited the banks of the Tagus River, salt marshes and salt flats. We are not visiting museums or gardens. It is the tides that dictate life on the estuary and it is not possible to create a fixed itinerary. Nature is changing and each day, depending on the time of visit and the tides we will have to identify the best places to visit.
