What you'll do

As the sun is shining bright, we will meet for specialty coffee and a pastry (you will tell me what you love, Kouign Amann, Cinnamon Bun, Croissant, Chocolate tart... and I'll bring it for you!) at one of my favorite coffee shops ! We will then walk around le Marais and le 11ème, two vibrant neighbourhoods where rebellious chefs establish their cooking craziness. I will take you to my favorite cave a vin, a small hole in the wall spot, where you'll get a glimpse of what Natural wine is, a wine with no sulfites and made out of love. While we get some "Pet nat" as parisians like to call sparkling wine or the wine of your choice, you will also be able to choose for yourself (out of charge) appetizers such as waguy charcuterie and anchovies and ricotta. We will then head to my favorite restaurant where a insanely creative chef works produce driven dishes as no one else ! Small dishes and lovely wines will bring the table to the best laughs! There, Audrey and Jean-Charles, the "tauliers" and owners, will get you to experience the best parisian night. Because the night is young, we will finish our foodie trip in a very lovely cocktail bar where you can make your cocktail from scratch!

Carmen

Hello loves, I'm Carmen Vazquez, a food writer and TV journalist. I work with several food publications in Paris and internationally and spend my life traveling around the world to eat the best bites out of it. Everytime a friend of a friend comes to Paris and asks me where to eat, I get a bit freaked out and leave them with a hundred of places to eat the best pastries and bread, drink the best coffee and natural wine and get a glimpse of what truly shines in Paris, a new food movement, the bistronomy. Let me take you on a journey with a local food writer and discover my hidden gems !

Where you'll be

We will discover le Marais, a very touristic area, in a super special way. Through coffee shops and quick snacks I will bring from my favorite épiceries in Place des Vosges. We will then head to the 11ème, a super local area which can seem intimidating to tourists. When strolling there, you'll get a glimpse of where the best chefs in the city eat and drink.
