Sitting on the terrace at night is one of the most breathtaking experiences we have seen. Also, as south facing, the sunsets and sunrises are also a memory in the making. You may also experience the Tornado jets fly over as they are based at RAF Lossiemouth. At only five miles from the popular John o Groats signpost, Jo and Karina would love to welcome you at one of three cozy self-catering glamping pods at The Crofter's Snug - lots of local area info on our website. Located at the top of Scotland you'll enjoy one of the best views in the area - even the locals are envious! One mile off the popular NC500 tourist route, our two pods and a Shepherd's Hut offer peace and quiet in an idyllic location with some amazing sunrises, sunsets and starry skies.

The Bothy at Borlum House, Reay

In the heart of the Scottish Highlands and directly on the NC500 route, is Borlum House Farm, a lovingly restored 1700’s farm house in the beautiful little village of Reay. This couples retreat is warm and cosy with an open plan living room with farmhouse style kitchen which is fully equipped and with all the modern necessities to make you feel at home!! This cabin has a double bed, French doors onto a gravelled private area with patio furniture perfect for enjoying a drink, the views and sea air.
