Hurricane update: Horseshoe clean up operations are well underway. The two main boat ramps are usable. Unfortunately the restaurant is gone so dining out will have to be at Cross City, Fanny Springs & cedar keys. Roads are clear to Horseshoe Beach. Scallop season -(June – Sept); Red Fish/Sea Trout fishing all year. Close to Fanning Springs , Manatee Springs, Chiefland. 30 minutes to Shired Beach - white sands, swimming, kayaking, picnic area. Horseshoe crab viewing in fall/winter.
