Cooking, eating, and sharing laughter and stories together will make your bonds stronger with your loved ones. Relax in a bedroom filled with the warm scent of cypress trees. The headboard of the bed is made of pristine cypress, which helps you sleep deeply. It is a space where you can feel cozy in the embrace of nature, under soft lighting, and experience the perfect relaxation to wash away the fatigue of the day. We use Odaesan charcoal made of oyster oak grown in the highlands of Gangwon Province to provide a special experience for our guests. Made in the traditional way, this charcoal has a deep and subtle scent, and it captures the energy of nature to create an even more special meal time.

It is a guest house in a quiet rural village, 15 minutes by car to the sea of Gangneung. The building is connected, but the entrance, toilet, and cooking facilities are separate, allowing for an independent stay. Free parking is available in the yard, and there is an outdoor dining area, so you can experience a barbecue with an electric grill (I don't use charcoal/bonfires due to the risk of wildfires). If you come with children, you can also do seasonal activities with owners like grandparents and grandparents in the countryside. The room is not large, so we recommend a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children. It's cramped for three or more adults. Breakfast with a home-cooked meal is also prepared for those who request it (separate charge). On your way to see the sea in Gangneung, enjoy the countryside atmosphere and warm hospitality.

The birth of 'Golmala' dates back to 1938. The wooden structure, which has endured for 86 years, had many places to touch, as some parts had collapsed. The pillars of the hanok were preserved as much as possible, and the missing parts were replaced to match the past and the present in the wooden structure. All indoor spaces have been carefully designed to visually communicate with the outdoor courtyard. The spacious bathroom space is designed to be the most cozy place in this house. We hope you experience the meeting of the past and the present during your stay at 'Golmala'. We have provided a guide to the history of 'Golmala', nearby restaurants, bars, and cafe information. It was officially opened as a Hanok experience accommodation business at the end of January 2023.

This place is a 10-minute walk from the Daegwallyeong Sheep Farm, and in front of the pension, there is the National Forest of Korea, the best trekking course in Korea. In winter, it snows a lot, so you can see the wonderful snowy scenery. It takes about 8 minutes by car to get to Yongpyeong Ski Resort. There is a Hoenggye Hanaro Mart 7 minutes away by car from the pension, and a convenience store 3 minutes away by car. It takes about 25 minutes to get to Gangneung. Take a break with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay.
