The Railway Weigh Office (Cliburn Station)

The building was once a working part of the Eden Valley Railway and has been fully modernised to provide a unique, compact self-catering holiday accommodation for up to two guests. Situated in the beautiful Eden Valley which lies between the Lake District and the Northern Pennines, we have converted an 17th Century barn into a modern chic, cosy, private one-bedroom apartment perfect for a luxurious getaway to this beautiful corner of the UK. The spacious apartment has a king-sized bed, one bathroom with a walk-in shower and an open plan kitchen and living room. There is WiFi ( but it can be intermittent due to our rural location) TV and DVD player.

Fern Cottage is a large, light, 3 bedroomed holiday cottage sleeping up to 5 people. In decorating the cottage we have retained all the lovely oak beams and given it a modern twist. A perfect holiday base for touring the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Located 200 meters from the all-important village pub, there are excellent walking and cycling in the area with Lake Ullswater 7 miles; Keswick 20 miles; Penrith and shops 6 miles.
